I purchased a part for my father-in-law's wine cooler from partstore.com". When I opened up the package I immediately noticed it was the wrong part/. I called them up and, after verifying the part number with other sources, ordered the right part about an hour later?. I received the return UPS paperwork and label on the same day I received the new part which was also brand new, it fit and there are no issues with it;.

I then returned the brand new, unused, first part and waited for weeks to get a refund that never came'. Instead, I received a used and broken board along with a letter stating they couldn't refund my money because the part had already been installed,.

I never did anything with the first part because it was obvious it was the wrong board as the connectors did not match!. My question is was it a scam of convenience as in I returned a part that they had a broken version of or if their website steered me to order a part they had a broken version of so they could rip me off|.

For the first time in the history of my credit card I am disputing the charges. 12917b2

checked my bank they credited my account with no further action needed. so they're square with me at least
